Sen. Vernon Malone has been in the NC State Legislature three terms and has
served for 6 years. He is a member of the Legislative Oversight Committee for
Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services. Yet,
during this tenure, he has not been the primary sponsor on any successful Bill to help people with disabilities.

Sen. Malone WAS the sole sponsor of a bill in the 2007 Legislative Session to sell the Dix property through a public-private partnership for a destination park.

Sen. Malone raised over one half of his campaign funds from these special
interests.
